Following our visit to Northern Ireland last year, it was a pleasure to welcome 29 Irish breeders to Garrowby this weekend for the return leg of the exchange.
Over the course of the weekend, the group visited six other Limousin herds across the North East, with the Garrowby Herd being the final stop on Sunday morning before they headed home.
Visitors were taken on a trailer tour around the farm to view a range of cattle, including cows, bulls and heifers, giving them the opportunity to see the herd and its management in its working environment. Before departing for their flight home, the group enjoyed a hearty meal and time to reflect on the weekend.
The group commented that they had enjoyed a wonderful trip, praising not only the exceptional quality of the livestock but also the stunning countryside and the warm hospitality they had received throughout their stay. They left having made new friendships, shared knowledge and enjoyed an unforgettable trip to the UK.
