May 2022 Show and Sale report

Garrowby Farm have attended two Limousin sales during May with great success.

 

A strong string of 5 bulls went to the Limousin Society sale at Carlisle on 7th & 8th May with Garrowby Regal taking 2nd place and Garrowby Rene a close 3rd  in the intermediate bull class.  Garrowby Rene then sold to a top of 12,000gns with the others averaging at 7300gns. 

Both bulls are shapey Gunnerfleet Hicks' sons, born in October 2020. Regal being an embryo calf out of Gunnerfleet Mislocks and Rene out of the French cow Minute. 

The 7 - 18 month heifers also sold to a top of 4000gns.

The Craven Limousin Day at Skipton on 11th May was another busy outing with 2 bulls, 2 heifers and 3 cows and calves.  Garrowby Ringo won the Intermediate Bull class then took Intermediate Champion before scooping Reserve Overall Champion.

Ringo is by Plumtree Fantastic and out of Gunnerfleet Hiseni who herself has bred bulls to 13,000gns

Gunnerfleet Preloche and her September born heifer calf Scaramouch lead the prices at 5200gns with others selling for 4200gns and 3400gns.
